1/2 | pound | fully cooked kielbasa or Polish sausage, cut into 1/2- inch slices | |

1 | medium green pepper, cut into 1- inch chunks | ||

1 | medium sweet yellow pepper, cut into 1- inch chunks | ||

|||
1 | medium sweet red pepper, cut into 1- inch chunks | ||
|
|||
1 | medium onion, cut into small wedges | ||
|
|||
1 | cup | water | |

|||
1 | package | (1.2 ounce) herb and garlic soup mix | |
|
|||
1/8 | teaspoon | hot pepper sauce | |
|
|||
1 | cup | rice, prepared as directed on package | |
|
In a large skillet, brown sausage in oil over medium-high heat. Remove with a slotted spoon and keep warm.
In the drippings, saute peppers and onion until crisp-tender.
In a bowl, combine the water and contents of one soup mix envelope (save the second envelope for another use).
Add soup mixture, hot pepper sauce, and sausage to the vegetables. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.
Prepare rice according to package directions.
Serve sausage and peppers over hot rice.
